Independence Will Kill You (And Why Submission Might Save You)

Yes, the title is clickbaity. No, you will probably not die from your independence.

Sometimes I hate society. Not because I'm a lone wolf by nature, I am, but because society itself is a rigged game. It's democracy in disguise: two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner.

And the sheep? Always ends up on the plate.

Why? Because society drilled one big lie into us: that independence is the only path to self-worth. That you must stand alone, make every decision yourself, and that your happiness depends on rejecting all forms of dependence.

But here's the hard truth: independence can be deadly.

For some people, it's not just hard, it's impossible. They don't thrive when left to figure it out. They wither. To them, independence isn't freedom, it's a prison. A daily nightmare.

Over the years, I've spoken to many submissives and slaves. Not all submissives are like this, most are not even anywhere close to it, but there are definitely some for whom BDSM is not a game, not a kink, not a weekend fantasy. For them, it is the only structure that keeps them alive. The only way they can wake up in the morning and not crumble under the weight of choice.

They don't want total freedom. They want someone to dominate them, guide them, decide for them. To give them purpose, meaning, and direction. To tell them what to eat, when to sleep, how to live, because that is what keeps them healthy and whole.

To some, this sounds extreme. To me, it's reality.

Of course, not every submissive suffers in this way. Many adapt and function just fine. But for those who can't, the consequences can be real. I've spoken with a woman who turned to drugs because she couldn't survive the daily torture of decision-making. I've spoken with another who stopped eating properly because she couldn't decide what to feed herself. These aren't hypotheticals. These are real people, real conversations.

This is not every submissive's story, but if it is yours, then hear me clearly: you are not wrong. Society is wrong.

Dependence is not weakness when it is rightly placed. There is no shame in seeking what your nature demands. Should we be ashamed of exhaling carbon dioxide because of climate change? No, holding it in would kill us. Likewise, suppressing your need for guidance and submission will destroy you.

To the right Dominant, you are not broken or worthless. You are a gem. And he will polish you until you shine.

Yes, you may struggle with mental health, indecision, self-doubt. That's expected when you've been trapped in a system that demands you be someone you're not. A true Dominant will see beyond that. He will see your potential, the beauty in your obedience, the strength in your surrender. He will not reject you for being dependent, he will cherish you because of it.

But I'll warn you. Your need is real, and that makes you vulnerable. Easy prey for wolves disguised as Masters.

So be careful. Ask questions. Be skeptical. Don't hand over your soul to the first man who promises control and safety in exchange for sex. That is not how it works.

Look for a Dominant who doesn't just want you to make his life better, but one who wants to make your life better too. Don't just listen to what he says, look at what he does, and how he treats you. Do you feel like a classic car being cared for, polished, and treasured, or like a junkyard wreck being stripped for parts? That answer will tell you everything.

The man you are searching for, the one you truly need, will take care of you first. He will lead you, protect you, guide you. Only then, when trust is proven and your safety secured, will he take you to his bed and use you for his needs, but even then, he'll take care of yours too.

That's the truth society will never tell you. But I will.
